Your data stays yours, and we keep it minimal.
Effective date: March 25, 2026. This policy applies to BNE Smart Links, BNE Studio, and related BNE services available through this portal. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Account information: email address, login method, and profile details you add.
- Link data: URLs you submit, titles, artwork, and metadata you choose to publish in BNE Smart Links.
- Studio data: audio uploads, project settings, generated outputs, analysis, and feedback you choose to save.
- Usage analytics: clicks, referrers, device type, browser, and approximate location.
- Support interactions: messages and diagnostic details you send us.
How we use data
- To create and host your smart links, creator pages, and studio workflows.
- To process uploads and generate outputs, analysis, and feedback across BNE Studio.
- To show analytics and performance insights for your links and related BNE product activity.
- To improve reliability, detect abuse, and secure the platform.
- To respond to support requests and deliver product updates.
Upload handling
Uploads to BNE Studio are processed to generate outputs, analysis, and feedback. Files are handled transiently where possible and removed shortly after processing. We retain only the output results, saved settings, and metadata needed to operate the service, unless a longer retention period is required for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Sharing and disclosure
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We share data only with providers needed to run the service, and — for visitors who allow it — with the ad platforms an artist has connected to their own link (see below).
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users.
Artist ad pixels
An artist can connect their own Meta, TikTok or Google advertising account to a link, to measure the ads they run to it. When they do, and you allow it, that platform's script runs on the link's pages and learns that you viewed the page, tapped through to a streaming service, or pre-saved. If the artist has set up Meta's Conversions API, we also send those same events to Meta from our server, with your IP address, browser details and — for a pre-save — your email address, hashed so Meta can match it but not read it. The artist controls that ad account; the platform's own privacy policy applies to what it receives.
- In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, and wherever we cannot tell your location, nothing is sent until you choose Allow.
- Elsewhere, these pixels run by default and the page shows a link to turn them off.
- Your choice is remembered for that link for six months, and you can change it from the same link on the page.
Street teams
When an artist runs a street team for a release, everyone who pre-saves gets a personal share link. If friends pre-save through it, you move up that release's public leaderboard, which shows only your first name, last initial and country. The artist can see the email address you pre-saved with, so they can send any reward they offered.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously improve our safeguards.
Your choices
- You can update or delete your link and studio data in the dashboard where those controls are available.
- You can request account removal by contacting support.
- You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
